So, you are interested in documentary family photography. This makes my heart so incredibly happy. Do you know why? Because I think the most beautiful images and times in our lives are the every day ones. Life is made in the living of it. The photos that you will get from these sessions will transport you back in a way that posed photos can’t. It may seem strange at first, but believe me, these images will be treasures. Now let’s get started in creating some beautiful art from your story.

I can also start with a few at home and then go out to the location.

A little more about us.

Our story begins just over a decade ago, in the college town of Athens, Ohio. A  deep feeling, verbally expressive, photography loving, Virginia girl meets a lo gical thinking, action taking, making things with his hands, Ohio boy. We met  and fell in love early in our own individual stories. We were still discovering the  main character (ourselves) and the Author (the Divine). Our story began as two  stories, but on a hot summer day on June 27, 2009, they mixed into OUR STORY.

Our story has many complex and beautiful characters, some who have been  with us since our very earliest chapters, others who have come in and meande red out, and 2 so far who have joined us in ours, until one day when they step  out into their own stories. Some chapters are beautiful and transendent - fil lied with bellyfuls of laughter, others are laboring and challenging, filled with  tears and deep sighs.

We have a story and we always hold it close to our hearts. It’s one of billions.  One - just like yours.
